To start off the HEY PEOPLE! project, all project partners held Launch events in their countries in March.
Our partner from Bulgaria – The Future Now Association, held a launch event for the HEY PEOPLE! project in Sofia. The event had the form of an artistic workshop in which people could imagine and illustrate the future of equality.
Our Spanish partners, Domestic Data Streamers, hosted a workshop in which they discussed the topic of gender bias of AI algorithms in the workplace, showcased examples how certain AI supports gender stereotypes in the labor market and discussed contribution to a more gender-equal future!
Our Swedish partners, EU Diaspora Council, organized a workshop on the topic of inclusivity and diversity in the labor market, during which they held the launch event for the HEY PEOPLE! Project. Participants form immigrant countries had the chance to speak up about discrimination they face at the workplace and address their capability to perform the same tasks that natives also carry out.
Our partners from Greece, D&I, organized the HEY PEOPLE! launch event in Athens, during which they also invited distinguished business women to come talk about their experiences of discrimination in their professional careers, share their personal stories and give insight on their professional presentation against stereotypes.
Provincia di Modena organized their launch event in which they did a presentation in front of the President and the Director of the Province, Head of the Municipality and over 30 local administrators that were present and connected online.
Our German partners, DATEY, held their HEY PEOPLE! Launch Event in an online video call, where more than 30 participants attended their presentation and discussions on the topic of gender stereotypes and discrimination in the workforce, and questioned together where this gender segregation emerges from.
